Day Surgery
It is no longer necessary to go into hospital for an over-night stay for many operations, some procedures can now be done more quickly, safely and with less discomfort using modern surgical and anaesthetic techniques where you only need to stay for a few hours. Huntsville District Memorial Hospital opened the New Day Surgery Suite in the summer of 2004 thanks to the many businesses and individuals who made it possible to construct this new 5,000 sq. ft addition that will be so helpful to thousands of individuals in the years ahead.
On September 6, 2005 the Day Surgery Suite was dedicated in memory of Dr. David Allan.
Day Surgery at the 'new' Huntsville Hospital Day Surgery Centre offers people the advantage of easy access, reduced cost and efficient personalized care in a pleasant atmosphere. You are able to have surgery and return to the comfort of your own home the same day. What could be better than that?
