Giving is a way to say thank you for the care you or a loved one received. It is also a way to ensure the best possible equipment is here for when you might need it.

METHODS OF GIVING
By Mail, Phone or Fax
You can make a donation by mail, telephone or fax. The HDMH Foundation also accepts VISA or MasterCard. For your convenience, donations can be made online through CanadaHelps.org. Once the donation has been paid for, the donor receives an immediate, secure PDF tax receipt, issued by CanadaHelps, by email. CanadaHelps then disburses the funds (less a 3% transaction fee) to the designated charity, along with any special requests associated with that gift, and in the manner the donor specified at checkout.
Helping Hands Club
If you are one of those supporters that contributes faithfully every year or responds to more than one appeal each year, this is the program for you. The Helping Hands Club is a cost-effective, time-efficient way to give to the HDMH Foundation. Payments can be made by credit card or post-dated cheques. No more mailings, no more postage. You will receive a tax receipt early in the new year showing the total amount of donations made during the previous year.
Tribute Gift
Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to make a donation in the name of friends, family members, or health care providers or to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or any special occasion.
Planned Gift
Most people would like to be remembered for contributing to the life of their community. It is possible to arrange your financial affairs so that you can take care of the needs of your family as well as make a lasting contribution to the HDMH Foundation. Talk with your financial advisor to learn how this can benefit you and your hospital.
Gifts-in-Kind
Gifts-in-kind involve the donation of property or goods instead of cash. The HDMH Foundation issues tax receipts for the fair market value of most gifts of goods, but not for services.
Matching Gift
Ask you payroll department if your employer offers a matching gift program.
Payroll Deduction
See your payroll department about setting up a deduction plan to support your healthcare.
American Donations
The Foundation is now a member of the American Fund for Charities. Tax receipts are issued by AFC & the funds are forwarded to the HDMH Foundation less a small admin fee.
