You can make a donation by mail, telephone, fax or email. The HDMH Foundation also accepts VISA or MasterCard. For your convenience, donations can also be made online through CanadaHelps.org. Once the donation transaction is complete, the donor receives an immediate, secure PDF tax receipt, issued by CanadaHelps, by email. CanadaHelps then disburses the funds (less a 3.9% transaction fee) to the designated charity, along with any special requests associated with that gift, and in the manner the donor specified at checkout.
Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to make a donation in the name of friends, family members, or health care providers or to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or any special occasion
Most people would like to be remembered for contributing to the life of their community. It is possible to arrange your financial affairs so that you can take care of the needs of your family as well as make a lasting contribution to your hospital. Talk with your financial and legal advisors to learn how this can benefit you and your hospital.
The most popular plannedgifts are made through bequests. There are some taz advantages when making an estate gift. You should speak with your families and advisors.
Gifts‐in‐kind involve the donation of property or goods instead of cash. The HDMH Foundation issues tax receipts for the fair market value of most gifts of goods, but not for services.
Matching gifts can double your contributions! Ask your payroll department if your employer offers a matching gift program. If you are retired you may still qualify.
See your payroll department about setting up a deduction plan to support your healthcare.
