- Where can I park when I come to the Foundation?
The Foundation is located in the Howland Building (beside the hospital). There is a parking lot at the Foundation separate to the Hospital parking lot. On the day you make a donation to the Foundation, we will give you a complimentary token to exit our parking lot.
- How can I make a donation to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital?
Donations to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital can be made through the HDMH Foundation. The Foundation accepts Cash, Cheque, Money Order, Visa and MasterCard. Please make cheques payable to HDMH Foundation. Donations can be made in‐person at the Foundation Office (Howland Building), by phone at 705‐789‐4756, by fax at 705‐789‐0073 by email at hdmhfoundation@mahc.ca or through the mail. Donations can also be made online through Canadahelps.org
- Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes. The HDMH Foundation is a registered charity that provides tax receipts for eligible donations greater than $10. Tax receipts will be sent in the mail.The Foundation adheres to the rules and regulations of the Canada Revenue Agency, www.cra-arc.gc.ca/charities/ Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Foundation charitable number is; 89371 5292 RR0001
- Can I direct my donation to a specific department in the hospital?
Yes, donations can be directed to specific areas of the hospital, such as Palliative Care, Oncology, Operating Room, Chemotherapy and the Capital Equipment List. You can also direct donations to the newly upgrading Diagnostic Imaging Department. Simply make a note on your donation card, or let the staff know when making your donation.
- What is the Foundation's legal name? Our legal name, and the proper beneficiary for your gift, is Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Foundation.
